Geoid Models For Croatia

FieldGenius now supports 2 Croatian Geoid Models: HRG2009 and Trst.

This HRG2009 geoid model is based off of the HTRS96 datum, and the Trst geoid model is based off of the HDKS datum.

HRG2009

The HRG2009 Geoid Model for Croatia does not come installed with FieldGenius, and therefore it must be copied manually onto each data collector that you wish to use this geoid model file.

Steps to Install:

1. Click here to Download this file from our website and save it to your computer.
2. Connect your data collector to your computer, and find the location where FieldGenius is stored. You will be able to find the Mapping folder in the MicroSurvey FieldGenius\Programs\Mapping folder.
3. Copy the HTRS96_HRG2009.byn file that you wish to use from your computer into the MicroSurvey FieldGenius\Programs\Mapping directory on the data collector.

Steps to Use the Geoid Model for Croatia:

• From the Main Menu | Settings | Coordinate Systems change the Vertical Systems field to HTRS96_HRG2009.byn.
• Your GPS derived coordinates will now have orthometric heights derived from this geoid model for Croatia.

Trst

This Trst Geoid Model for Croatia also does not come installed with FieldGenius, and therefore it must be copied manually onto each data collector that you wish to use this geoid model file.

3. Copy the HDKS_TRST.byn file that you wish to use from your computer into the MicroSurvey FieldGenius\Programs\Mapping directory on the data collector.
