MicroSurvey inCAD 2022
MicroSurvey brings intuitive calculation tools for land surveyors to popular drafting platforms, including IntelliCAD and AutoCAD. MicroSurvey inCAD 2022 runs on the all-new AutoCAD 2022 releases, including AutoCAD, Map 3D, and Civil 3D 2022.

What's NewBug Fixes
- Floating licenses are now supported.
- Floating licenses may be checked out for up to 4 days at a time by clicking "Check out" on the license options dialog.
- MS_ACTIVATE has been replaced by MS_LICENSE, and a new button has been added to the ribbon for licensing access.
- We upgraded our SDK of ZipArchive, which is used to open and close databases. This adds threadsafe functionality and improves database performance.
- HOUSE TIE ARROWS - Position was being incorrectly affected by scale factor.
- MANUAL DISTANCE - Command would cause a crash.
- DBX Import - Importing DBX data with attributes into a drawing with existing attributes could cause a crash.
- LANDXML_OUT - Exporting a surface with spaces in the name would export multiple invalid surfaces to the file.

- ARC LABELS - Arc labels were incorrect when the arc was trimmed by an AutoMap symbol.
- AUTOMAP - Polyline width was not retained.
Important Notes
Subscription Licenses
MicroSurvey inCAD is now only offered with subscription licensing, which was added to match the licensing scheme for AutoCAD, which inCAD relies upon to operate, lowering the annual cost of use.
inCAD subscriptions are offered for a lower initial cost than a perpetual license, and match the product release of AutoCAD of the same release year. When purchased, a license ID and password will be issued to you, which will subsequently license the program once entered into the software. Subscriptions are valid for one year after the purchase date, and allow use of any version newer than inCAD 2021 SP1 once activated via an internet connection. After the subscription has expired, it must be renewed in order to continue using the program.
If your subscription has expired, you can phone us at 1-800-668-3312 or 1-250-707-0000 to renew it. Without a current subscription plan, you will not be able to work with any version of the software.
Activating/Deactivating Licenses
License Portal
Once a subscription license has been purchased, you may be asked to create an account on MicroSurvey's license portal, or one may be created for you. This will allow you to manage your own license and review its details. To access the license portal, visit microsurvey.com/license
A license ID and password will be issued to you, which will license the program when entered into the software. This is called "activating" your license. There may be multiple license "activations" applied to a single license; this number determines the number of computers which may access the same license simultaneously.
License Activation
To activate your license, run inCAD. The first dialog you see should be the license options dialog. Click the button with the key on it, enter the License ID and Password provided, and click "Activate". This will apply the license to your computer and consume one "activation" from your license. If you have only one activation, you will not be able to apply the license to another computer.
License Deactivation
In order to apply the license to a different computer, you must "deactivate" the license from the first computer. This will return the "activation" to the license, and you may complete the activation procedure on the second computer.
The number of deactivations are limited per license, and will not be reinstated once a license has been activated. Once the deactivation count reaches zero, you must contact MicroSurvey in order to swap the license between computers.

MicroSurvey Transfer Program for FieldGenius Users
MicroSurvey Transfer can be downloaded to simplify the transfer of FieldGenius projects from your data collector to MicroSurvey inCAD.
This program has not changed since 2013; previous versions must be updated for newer versions of MicroSurvey inCAD.
Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center is required to install MicroSurvey Transfer. It may be downloaded here.
MicroSurvey License Server for Network License Users
If you have purchased a network license, you must download and install a copy of the MicroSurvey Network License software on your intended license server computer.
A password is required to install the License Server.
MicroSurvey License Portal for Floating License Users
If you have purchased a floating license, you may visit microsurvey.com/license to review usage statistics on your license.
After purchase, you will be asked to create a login for the portal.
Log in to the portal, click "Licenses & Activations", then the desired license to review its details.
System Requirements
MicroSurvey inCAD 2022 is compatible with 64-bit versions of Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. It is not compatible with any 32-bit operating system. Additional Details.
A free USB port is required for the USB License Key (local workstation or network server)
Full administrator rights are required to install MicroSurvey inCAD 2022, but it can be run by limited user accounts.

Run as Administrator
You must run the program at least once elevated with "Run as administrator" access.
Clicking "Run" from the installation package does this automatically.
If this step is skipped, you may run as administrator by doing the following:
- Right click on the MicroSurvey inCAD 2022 icon.
- Choose "Run as administrator".
- Select "Yes" on the "User Account Control" dialog when prompted to allow the program to make changes to your computer.
After this step is complete, you may run the program from any user account on the computer, even if they do not have administrative privileges.
