MicroSurvey STAR*NET 9.2

MicroSurvey Software Inc. is pleased to unveil the latest iteration of their world class network adjustment suite, MicroSurvey STAR*NET 9.2.  Users may choose between five available feature levels suited to fit their needs – Lev, Standard, Plus, Pro and Ultimate – ensuring they are getting precisely the tools they need for high quality least-squares network adjustment.

STAR*NET 9.2 is a FREE upgrade for all STAR*NET users with a valid Annual Maintenance Subscription, and a FREE fully-functional 10-day trial version is available to new users for demonstration purposes.

What's New in STAR*NET 9.2

STAR*NET 9.2 introduces the following new and enhanced features:

• Projects may now be exported to LandXML format
• A new inline command (.ROTATION) applies a plan rotation to all bearings/azimuths in a .DAT file
• Anonymous data is collected by STAR*NET and transmitted to a secure server, telling MicroSurvey how many unique users run STAR*NET each day, and how many times it is run.
• Help, Hover, and Error tips have been enhanced by improving syntax, behavior, and the addition of current parameter highlighting
• Over 125 new coordinate systems have been added to STAR*NET 9.2
• Combined Scale Factor and Convergence values have been added to tools in the Network Plot
• Face II values are now accepted in M, SS, T, and DM records *NOTE* This may affect adjustment of legacy files if they are 3D and contain M or SS records with Face-1 Hz Angles and Face-2 Vertical Angles
• Line-comment workflows have been improved when selecting from the margin or File:Line items in the listing

STAR*NET 9.2 fixes the following important issues:

• Several problems importing Trimble and Spectra Precision JobXML (*.jxl) files have been fixed
• Editor options have been improved and are now maintained when STAR*NET is closed
• Data lines containing non-breaking spaces or question marks in the station name have been fixed

Existing MicroSurvey STAR*NET users with a valid Annual Maintenance Subscription (AMS) may need to use the USB License Manager application to update their USB License Key(s) to run this version beyond the initial 10-day trial period. If your AMS has expired, please call MicroSurvey Software Inc. at 1-800-668-3312 or 1-250-707-0000 or contact your local MicroSurvey dealer to renew it.

Existing MicroSurvey STAR*NET 9.1 users must update their USB key for version 9.02.00.

For demonstration purposes, MicroSurvey STAR*NET 9 can be run for 10-days as the fully-featured STAR*NET-ULTIMATE edition. All of the conversion utilities are also unlocked during this 10-day demo period.
