If you are setting up a GPS device to receive corrections from via a digital modem over as cellular network the Mount Point service provider will supply most of the settings you will require.
But the provider of the Cellular Service may have a few different parameters. The table below can help with some specific providers:
Service Provider | Username (APN Login) | Password (APN Password) | Domain (APN Server) |
Cingular | ispda@cingulargprs.com | CINGULAR1 | isp.cingular |
Cingular | wap@cingulargprs.com | CINGULAR1 | wap.cingular |
T-Mobile | user | wap | wap.voicestream.com |
T-Mobile | user | wap | internet2.voicestream.com |
Rogers | wapuser1 | wap | internet.com |
Fido Canada | fido | fido | internet.fido.ca |
AT&T | wap@cingulargprs.com | a | wap.cingular |
In the cellular modem PIN field, North American providers generally leave this blank.
It is a way a prohibiting unauthorized use. Europeans use this feature quite a bit.
